Mastercard is one of the largest payment brands out there. A network client, where I was creative lead for the Nordic and Baltic markets. The advertising and communication needed to have a local relevance, yet uphold the global core values of the brand. Assignments varied between local briefs and to pitch global concepts that was adapted on other markets.

The second introduction of smart and contactless payments in public transport in Sweden. This time in Stockholm, when SL launched their new payment system that includes debit cards. mobiles and wearables as a way to pay when taking the subway, bus or tram.

Stay Contactless

Early spring 2020, the Corona pandemic hit. To minimize physical contact, Mastercard increased their limit on contactless payments from 25€ to 50€, helping shops, restaurants and card holders to keep their distance. The concept and campaign we created was adapted for all the European markets, including assets for SoMe, Print, InStore, OLV and DOOH.

Skåne in the south of Sweden was the first area in the country where contactless payments on public transports was introduced.

When traveling abroad, many people exchange cash to bring to their destination. With your Mastercard that’s not longer needed since the card is functional world wide.
